MIMSY Meditation in Movement Style Yoga® “The Softer Side of Yoga”
A Retreat at Feathered Pipe Ranch
Led by Lanita Varshell, Founder of A Gentle Way Yoga
MIMSY Meditation in Movement Style Yoga®– is a unique style of yoga for your back, hips, spine and mind that was created by Lanita Varshell, Founder of A Gentle Way Yoga and Joyful Movement Center in San Diego. Join her for a relaxing retreat week at Feathered Pipe for “The Sofer Side of Yoga”. Sample the unique styles of classes offered at her Studio: from slow, gentle, restorative classes, to safer, fun more active classical yoga. Evenings will offer group discussions about practical, life-changing ways to live your yoga off the mat in your busy everyday life.
Lanita began teaching full time in 1996. She opened her Center for those like her, would be intimidated or easily injured practicing yoga at gyms or more active Yoga Studios. 85% Of the group classes at A Gentle Way focus on those who are aging and need a slower, safer practice; students who are larger; less flexible; new to yoga; or in need of deep stress relief. Lanita Varshell has taught over 10,000 group classes, and has trained yoga teachers since 1998.
MIMSY Meditation in Movement Style Yoga® is Lanita’s trademarked style. It is doable and important for every body. For those new or returning to taking care of themselves, it will be an easy, fun way to connect to all the wonderful parts of you – body, mind, breath and spirit you. For the fit keeping fit, MIMSY Meditation in Movement Style Yoga® is a missing link to your more active practice, and may be the deepest or most interesting yoga work you will ever do. Yoga Teachers will experience a multi-level, new way of teaching classes and supporting their students.
Bring yourself, your mother, your sister, your brother. From the most experienced teacher or student of yoga, to those who are brand new, there will be a safe, joyful practice for all of you. Also, the destination is amazing!
