Diane Ambrosini, Master Yoga Teacher
Senior Staff Teacher
Diane Ambrosini is a master yoga teacher and movement science specialist who has practiced yoga since 1997. Diane has worked as a coach, personal fitness trainer, hospital laboratory kinesiologist, and is currently a full-time yoga instructor.
Diane became certified as a yoga instructor in 2001, and has taught yoga consistently since that time. Between 2004 and 2006, she was co-owner of Ranch San Diego Yoga Center with her mentor/business partner, Kathy Lee Kappmeier. Together they wrote the first edition of Instructing Hatha Yoga, which was a best-selling yoga instructional book for many yoga teacher training programs throughout the country. In 2016, Diane Ambrosini updated and published the second edition Instructing Hatha Yoga: A Guide for Teachers and Students, which is a staple in A Gentle Way Yoga Center’s Aalamba Yoga Training. Diane currently is part of the Teacher Training Staff at A Gentle Way. She has spoken and taught yoga internationally, and occasionally writes online yoga related articles.
Early on, Diane Ambrosini generally taught the more rigorous and physically active styles of hatha yoga. Since teaching at A Gentle Way, she has learned to meld a deeper focus on relaxation and peacefulness in every style of yoga she teaches. Her classes allow active students to slow down a bit and appreciate an inner and outer calm, while allowing less active students to lovingly explore how movement helps tap into inner and outer strength. She believes everyone can practice yoga, and that with practice, we can all rediscover our truest Self!
