Yoga for Healing and Meditation – Gentle Yoga/Pink Level
Pink Level Classes are our easiest physical level classes, but deeply stress reducing and therapeutic.
This is a style of Restorative Yoga done without all the complicated prop set-up, known as:
MIMSY Meditation in Movement Style Yoga®. MIMSY® is Lanita Varshell’s trademarked style of yoga.
These classes focus on breath, mindfulness, and stress reduction techniques. Specific slow, gentle movements and stretches have been proven to help students heal from injury, chronic health conditions, heart disease, back pain, and the past (or current) traumas of life.
These classes usually begins lying on the floor, focusing on relaxation techniques and poses for your back, neck, hips, and spine. We incorporate very gentle healing movements, breath, relaxation and meditation. This is yoga for your hips, back, spine, joints, glands, and your mind. These classes offer deep stress relief.
Over the course of the month class may move to therapeutic seated or standing poses, based on the weekly focus and needs of attendees. Being on your knees is never required, however students should be able to get to the floor and lie down on blankets.
