A Yoga Center For Real People.
This is the perfect Center for those NEW to yoga,
for those returning to taking care of themselves, and for those who are ready to age joyfully.

Getting Started

Please read this page before attending our Studio.

Students new to our Center MUST arrive 15 minutes before class or workshop start time. We cannot give you your best yoga experience if the teacher does not have time with you before class.  Our long time students have learned the value of arriving to a class 15 minutes prior to start time.  For the peace of the entire class, we do not let students who are late into classes that have already begun.

Your yoga experience will feel more complete if you begin with a:

Since we have a variety of classes, levels, and styles, it is important that students who have never experienced yoga before or who have health or weight challenges do one of the following BEFORE attending a group class.

1. Phone Consultation
Speaking with one of our teachers or office staff will help you easily determine which starting option or classes will be best for you.

2. One-on-One Private Session
We highly reccomend a 90 minute newcomer's private session.  The teacher will review your health and exercise history, and get you ready for the appropiate classes at our Center for your body.

A private session is designed specifically for you, keeping in mind your yoga goals and health challenges. Your instructor will take time to listen to your needs and concerns, watch your body, and customize a series of movements and poses to determine how open your body is, and which classes will best suit you. Click here to go to our Private Session MENU page.

NEW TO OUR CENTER, BUT NOT TO YOGA?
Students who have already practiced yoga and who have no health challenges are encouraged to choose from one of the above options, but may visit any OPEN class their first time without a consultation. Please read class descriptions carefully before walking into a new class. Make sure that you have chosen the best level for your body.

You must arrive 15-20 minutes prior to start time if you are new.

Sorry, we do not let new students in late or at the last minute. The teacher needs time with you before class begins. Out of respect for our students who are committed to their yoga practice, we lock our doors for our clients' peace and privacy when class begins.

How Often Should You Practice Yoga?

The more you practice, the better you will feel!

We highly recommend practicing yoga in a group class at least twice a week.

Some students attend almost every day and find that by doing so, they accomplish much more in their lives by being relaxed and balanced--but please begin slowly and work your way up.

The best way to get the most out of yoga is to attend one slower moving (floor based)
class each week
and one active
(standing & balance)
class. This combination of classes will stretch and tone the body and build strength in the bones.

Always start at the easier levels and work your way up. This will begin to open, detox, and stretch your body gently; prevent injury; and release
major stress. It will also help rebuild your immune system and shed physical and emotional baggage.

Make yoga your healthiest addiction!

Other tips for a great yoga experience:

Please leave all front spaces for the other business in our Center when they are open. There is plenty of street parking, and 20 spaces on the Jackson Drive side of our Center.

Please do not wear perfumes or scented lotions.

Practice yoga on an empty stomach.

Leave cell phones in your car.

New students must arrive 15 minutes before class begins.

Students with reservations must be in the yoga room 10 minutes prior to class time or their space may be given to a waitlisted student.

We lock our doors and turn off our phones when class begins for our students peace and privacy.
