I truly feel that A Gentle Way Yoga Center is one of the most special and loving communities I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of. And because I love this little studio and all of the students so very much, each year as a thank you, I offer my students the opportunity for free private yoga sessions, in the form of Seva, for supporting me, and my teachings.
Seva is Sanskrit for “selfless service”, as well as a way for one to contribute to the benefit of a community, while growing deeper spiritually. So for a fun, community-building opportunity I invited all of my students to wear a costume of some sort to both of the yoga classes I taught on Halloween morning/afternoon. Each person who dressed up in a Halloween costume (or at least Halloween themed) would be entered into a drawing for a free private yoga session with me. Halloween is a fun time of year for me, personally, and all of my students have such a fun-loving nature – it just seemed like the perfect fit!
My expectations were definitely exceeded! Everyone either came up with some form of true costume, or wore Halloween related colors and symbols. And while I tried to snap pictures of everyone, some took off their costume accouterments before (or during) class so they could move freely in their practice. It was a truly joyous occasion, and I hope everyone had fun! I sure did!
So – the winners of the 2 drawings are Bonnie Buck (the cute wildcat) and Susan LaRose (the cutie with the big bow)! After we schedule our sessions together, I will post some more information about them to share with the rest of this wonderful community!
Also – I will be drawing 2 more names for 2 more private sessions before the end of the year. Be sure to check out the next enews… one of the Seva recipients could be YOU!
Much love and peace to you ALL – as we head into the end of the year and all the blessings that brings us!
