Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is one-on-one therapy that works to connect the body and mind using safe, supported movement, breath, and talking about what’s happening in the moment physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Phoenix Rising understands that the body and mind are not separate and that physical and emotional issues are profoundly connected. It also understands that the body possesses an innate wisdom and knows how to find answers to all our important questions.
Phoenix Rising helps you to connect what’s happening in your body to what’s happening in your life. Potential benefits include stress relief, enhanced mental clarity, a sense of empowerment, and new direction in one’s life. It is not uncommon to experience relief from chronic pain.In a typical Phoenix Rising session, Anna will carefully select poses based on the goal you identify for your session or for your life. She will guide you into these postures, which are designed to bring you more deeply into an internal experience, and support you in the postures as you dialog about what you are experiencing in your body. With this combination of poses and focused dialog techniques, you may find that you can readily access information stored in your body and gain new insight into long-standing patterns and deeply held tensions. A session ends with an integration during which you find connections between what you experienced in your body and what you experience in your life. You explore ways to bring what you have learned into action.
Sessions are typically 1 ½ hours long, although a first session will run somewhat longer. The price is $85 per session or $155 for two sessions, if the second session is booked at the time the first one is completed. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
